The InterContinental® Miami Make-A-Wish® Ball marked its 29th year on Saturday, November 2, with a remarkable gala that surpassed all expectations. This year’s event raised over $5 million to grant wishes for critically ill children, solidifying its position as a cornerstone of Miami’s charity season.
A Night of Elegance and Entertainment
Gwen Stefani Takes Center Stage
The evening featured an electrifying performance by Grammy Award-winning artist Gwen Stefani, who delighted the 900 guests with a mix of her iconic hits and a debut performance of her new single, "Swallow My Tears." The event’s theme, “CIRCO: La Madre Della Luce,” transformed the venue into a fantastical Italian circus, complete with dreamy pink hues, intricate light displays, and captivating performances.
The Visionaries Behind the Event
The gala was spearheaded by “The Three Amigos”: Shareef M. Malnik, a long-standing chair of the Ball; Glenn Sampert, General Manager of InterContinental® Miami; and Norman Wedderburn, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida. Their dedication has helped the event grow into one of the most anticipated charity events of the year.
