Fresh off a sold-out European tour and a growing list of global accolades, TRUENO is showing no signs of slowing down. The 23-year-old Argentine artist just dropped his second single of the year—“EN LA CITY”—and this time, he’s bringing Puerto Rico’s Young Miko along for the ride.
It’s the first time these two have teamed up, and they’re already calling it a storm in the making. “Trueno & Young Miko, together we’re a storm coming,” they say. While that line could have gone dramatic, the song itself makes a solid case for the hype.
A Fusion Track That Keeps Both Artists in Their Zone
Produced by Tatool, “EN LA CITY” opens with soft, church-like organ chords before dropping into a deep bassline and sharp hip-hop drums. But it doesn’t stay in just one lane. There’s pop, there's rhythm, there’s lyricism—and both artists play to their strengths.
Trueno stays raw and confident, representing Buenos Aires in both his sound and his visuals. Young Miko adds her smooth, laid-back touch to the mix, balancing out the energy with her signature delivery.
The video—shot in Puerto Rico and directed by longtime collaborator El Dorado—adds another layer, blending urban textures with island flavor. It’s more of a creative exchange than just a collab, and it works.
The Next Chapter After “CRUZ” and a GRAMMY Win
“EN LA CITY” follows Trueno’s earlier 2025 release “CRUZ,” a track featuring Colombian hitmaker Feid. That release helped set the tone for what’s coming, but this new single makes it clear—he’s not sticking to one sound or one region.
Last year’s El Último Baile album gave Trueno one of his biggest hits to date, “Real Gangsta Love,” which hit #10 on Spotify’s Global Top 50. The album also earned him a Latin GRAMMY for “Tranky Funky,” in the Best Urban Fusion/Performance category.
From Argentina to the World, One City at a Time
TRUENO’s rise hasn’t just been about the music—it’s been about the movement. His El Último Baile World Tour took him across Europe and the Americas, selling out shows in cities like Berlin, London, Paris, New York, and Miami. He also made his U.S. festival debut at Outside Lands in San Francisco, landing on the radar of both fans and critics.
Now, with “EN LA CITY,” he’s expanding that reach, tapping into Puerto Rico’s creative pulse and proving his ability to cross markets without losing what makes his sound distinct. The result feels like a preview of what’s coming—not just for his next album, but for where Latin hip-hop is heading.
