Peso Pluma, the global chart-topping sensation, has launched his independent record label, Double P Records, with the release of his new single "Rosa Pastel," featuring Jasiel Nuñez, one of the label's first signings. Double P Records is a joint venture with Prajin Records, and includes three signings at launch, including Jasiel Nunez, Tito Laija, and Raul Vega. Peso Pluma is taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer and head of A&R, establishing a new creative hub for emerging artists.
"Peso is an incredible artist and I have witnessed him in the studio writing and producing for many years. I have always known that he would make an excellent executive and I want to do whatever I can to support him in this new journey,” said George Prajin, President Prajin Records.
The collaboration with Jasiel Nuñez, "Rosa Pastel," marks the first official release from Double P Records and is now available on all platforms. The song pays homage to the childhood of both artists and the figures that shaped them. Jasiel Nuñez lends his alluring vocals to the track, grounded by Peso Pluma's unrivaled lyricism and storytelling ability. The rising Mexican star continues to showcase the depth of his artistry with the release of "Rosa Pastel" fresh off of the Coachella stage where he performed with Becky G.
Peso Pluma continues to make history as he is the first Mexican artist to hit number one on the Spotify Global Top songs chart and the first Mexican artist on the Billboard Hot 100 to hit a position in the Top 10. He is currently ranked number five on Spotify's Global Artist chart only behind Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, and Drake. Peso Pluma currently has six tracks on Billboard's Top 10 Mexico chart, holding positions one through six. "Ella Baila Sola" featuring Eslabon Armado has landed at No. 2 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart and No. 10 on Billboard's Hot 100.
Peso Pluma's last few weeks have been action-packed with sold-out shows, show-stopping performances, and continuous record-breaking accomplishments. He kicked off his U.S. tour to a sold-out crowd of over 18,000 fans in Ontario, California, where he was joined by special guests Eduin Caz (of Grupo Firme), Alemán, Blessd, Yng Lvcas, and Eslabón Armado. Tonight, Peso Pluma will perform live from the MGM Grand at the Latin American Music Awards in Las Vegas.
