Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to Host Prestigious Honours Ceremony

Amsterdam & Fort Lauderdale – March 3, 2025 – The Superyacht Life Foundation (SYLF) and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) are proud to announce that nominations are now open for the third edition of The Honours—a distinguished award series recognizing exceptional individuals making a positive impact through the superyacht industry.

For the first time, The Honours will be hosted in the U.S., taking place at FLIBS 2025, a major milestone in its mission to highlight the unsung heroes of the yachting world across global hubs.

“We are taking The Honours on a journey to share our stories with new audiences,” says Dilan Saraç, Executive Director at SYLF. “With Informa’s support, we look forward to celebrating the people who truly elevate the superyachting community.”

Recognizing Those Who Make a Difference

The Honours celebrates individuals who have used the superyacht industry as a platform for meaningful impact. Past honourees include:

🌍 Wendy Schmidt – Philanthropist and founder of 11th Hour Racing
🌊 Mike Horn – Explorer and founder of Pangaea X incubation program
Zoran Selakovic – Director of YachtAid Global

Now, the search begins for three new honourees whose philanthropy, innovation, or environmental advocacy have left a lasting mark on the industry.

A New Chapter for The Honours

Created by The Superyacht Life Foundation, The Honours began its journey at the Monaco Yacht Show, hosted by Informa, before expanding to new international audiences.

As the world’s largest in-water boat show, FLIBS attracts over 100,000 visitors and showcases more than 1,300 yachts and 1,000 marine brands, making it the ideal platform for The Honours’ U.S. debut.
