CÎROC Launches Blue Dot Residency at Sundance’s MACRO Lodge

CÎROC Ultra-Premium Vodka has announced the opening of applications for its Blue Dot Creative Residency (BDCR), a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to fostering creativity, mentorship, and storytelling. First revealed in December 2024, the program made its official debut at Sundance Film Festival’s MACRO Lodge in Park City, Utah. The inaugural class features actor Woody McClain and actress-writer Erika Alexander, with applications open to U.S. residents aged 25 and older until February 24, 2025.

Creators Thrive at Sundance Panel

Spotlight on Creativity at Sundance

The BDCR was launched during the “Addressing the Creator’s Dilemma” panel, hosted at the Sundance Film Festival’s MACRO Lodge. Moderated by Imani Ellis, founder of the Creative Collective and Culture Con, the discussion included prominent figures such as Michael Ealy, Jharrel Jerome, and David Oyelowo, alongside the program’s first member, Woody McClain. Together, they explored the challenges of balancing personal passions with financial success, offering valuable insights for emerging storytellers.

A Blend of Inspiration and Innovation

CÎROC transformed the MACRO Lodge into a hub of creative energy during Sundance, blending networking, inspiration, and immersive experiences for participants and attendees alike. Key highlights included:

  • Creative (Ease)scape Working Session: Woody McClain collaborated with a creative partner to refine his project ideas, embodying the program’s mission to provide “creative ease” through mentorship and resources.
  • Après-Ski Networking: Attendees mingled over cocktails and film screenings, creating opportunities to connect in a relaxed, celebratory environment.
  • Special Events and Activations: Immersive activities underscored CÎROC’s commitment to nurturing creative talent and helping artists bring their visions to life.

Supporting Emerging Talent in the Creative Community

The BDCR addresses a key barrier for many storytellers: the gap between creative inspiration and successful execution. As Michael Ealy highlighted during the panel, “It’s easy to get overwhelmed at the start of a big project. Programs like this provide the time, support, and community needed to push through the hardest parts of the creative process.”

Selected members will receive funding, mentorship, and resources to develop their passion projects, with opportunities to showcase their work at major cultural events, including future Sundance gatherings.

Applications Open for Aspiring Creators

Emerging storytellers across the U.S. are encouraged to apply at www.ciroc.com. The residency offers a unique chance to join Woody McClain and Erika Alexander in creating culture-shaping projects through financial and creative support. Applications are open until February 24, 2025.

CÎROC’s Vision for Creativity at Sundance and Beyond

“Creatives need more than just financial support—they require a community and environment that fosters bold ideas,” said Victoria David, Brand Director of CÎROC. By debuting the BDCR at Sundance, a global stage for storytelling, CÎROC reaffirmed its dedication to empowering creators and shaping the future of culture.

With its unique blend of funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities, the Blue Dot Creative Residency is set to become a key driver for emerging talent in the creative industry.
