Miami Art Week 2024 witnessed a groundbreaking celebration of innovation through BitBasel, a platform that merges the worlds of art and technology. This year’s theme, The Future of the Arts, brought together artists, technologists, and collectors for an inspiring week of exhibitions and discussions.

Michelangelo’s Legacy Meets Modern Technology

For the first time in the United States, BitBasel showcased the Michelangelo Eternal Creations, a historic collection valued at over $1 billion. Seven pure silver casts of Michelangelo’s iconic sculptures were displayed, attracting influential attendees such as Archbishop Thomas Gerard Wenski and Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner. On December 6, 2024, a historic $2.5 billion investment led by Mark Russo was announced. The investment aims to secure funding for the Michelangelo Fine Art Collection (MFAC), which includes masterpieces by Michelangelo, Bernini, and Canova.

“MFAC is not just creating art; we are redefining how people can own and invest in history,” said Mark Russo, CEO and Founder.
