Important dates for the 35th anniversary of PREMIO LO NUESTRO, the year's first music awards presentation, were revealed by Univision today. The prestigious award event honoring the legacy and global reach of Latin music is scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 23 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT at Miami-Dade Arena. The pre-show NOCHE DE ESTRELLAS will kick off the gala at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT. Viewers will be transported on an epic musical trip with unforgettable moments from a well-rounded line-up of musicians who reflect the music of yesterday, today, and tomorrow in typical PREMIO LO NUESTRO style.

The highly anticipated nominations for this year's Premio Lo Nuestro will be announced on Monday, January 23, on Univision's DESPIERTA AMERICA and the official Premio Lo Nuestro Instagram account @premiolonuestro, with the fans' ability to vote for their favorite musicians and songs left up to them.

Since its founding in 1989, PREMIO LO NUESTRO has given Hispanic artists a platform on a global scale and set the standard for future trends in music, culture, and fashion. The Premio Lo Nuestro a la Excelencia, the most prestigious award given each year to honor the legacy of Latin Music, has previously been given to legendary figures like Juan Gabriel, Celia Cruz, Ricky Martin, Luis Miguel, Alejandro Sanz, Vicente Fernández, Juan Luis Guerra, and Marc Anthony, among others.
