This star-studded gala celebrated the expansion of Sony’s West Coast team and marked various historic accomplishments by leading artists in the Mexican music realm.

Featuring electrifying live performances, audiences were serenaded by the likes of Conexión Divina, Joss Favela, Lupita Infante, and Virlán García. Notably, the event also marked the introduction of Luis Ángel "El Flaco" to the Sony Music family.

In a testament to the genre's global appeal and the dedication of its artists, Sony Music Latin's top brass, including Alex Gallardo and Roberto López, flew to Los Angeles. They bestowed awards to honor the sales milestones reached by artists, encompassing everything from millions of streams to Gold and Platinum records.

Johnny López, stepping up to honor his late mother Jenni Rivera’s legacy, accepted a gold record for the album Misión Cumplida. This touching gesture was a nod to Rivera's indelible mark on regional Mexican music.

Lupita Infante, with her enchanting voice, sang tracks from her album Amor Como Las Películas de Antes, also honoring traditional Mexican tunes. Her talent has already resonated worldwide, garnering over six million streams.

In a groundbreaking moment, Conexión Divina, pioneers as the first all-female sierreña music group, showcased tunes from their debut album, Tres Mundos. Their impressive foray into the music world is evident, boasting more than 10 million audio and video streams.

The audience also enjoyed a melodic treat from Joss Favela, who performed tracks from Aclarando La Mente, including collaborations with Gera MX and Banda MS. Another highlight was Ramón Vega, lauded for amassing over 200 million global streams with hits like “Tírame un Hello” and “Escorpión”.

Virlán García showcased his platinum-winning "Híbrido" and even gave fans a sneak peek of his upcoming December release, "Sanaré".

In a riveting segment, Luis Ángel "El Flaco" graced the stage, belting out hit numbers and announcing his debut with Sony Mexico, aptly titled Así Las Cosas.
