Ivan Cornejo, one of the most well-known and prominent up-and-comers in regional Mexican music, has been nominated for the 2023 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards to kick off the new year. For Regional Mexican - New Artist, Cornejo received a nomination.

Today, the network's digital outlets and Univision broadcast the nominations. On February 23rd at 7pm EST on Univision, the event will be televised live from the FTX Arena in Miami, Florida.
His nominations follow a successful and noteworthy year for the singer-songwriter in 2022, which he finished with the release of the deluxe edition of his top album DAADO. Ten songs altogether, three of which are brand-new, including "La Ultima Vez," "Tatuajes," and the lead single, "Ya Te Perdí". Ivan collaborated with producer Frank Rio to create new, original rhythms and sounds for the deluxe version, which has allowed the artist to further artistically develop his style.
Following the release of his eagerly awaited deluxe album, Cornejo announced the initial dates of his U.S. "DAADO" Tour, which completely sold out during the presale. Just last week, additional dates were announced due to high demand in Santa Ana, California, and Dallas, Texas, both of which also sold out within minutes. Santa Cruz, California will serve as the starting point of the tour, which will also include stops in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, Phoenix, McAllen, Austin, Houston, and two performances in El Paso.
Ivan's young career has already sold out his first U.S. tour, reached over 1 billion combined streams, and won "Debut Artist of The Year" and "Regional Mexican Album Of The Year" at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards, further solidifying his position as one of the genre's most promising up-and-coming stars. More recently, Spotify's Viva Latino "Artists to Watch" for 2023 list included the budding musician.
