Yahtitza Y Su Esencia and Grupo Frontera team up for new single 'Fragil'

Yahritza y Su Esencia, a Latin GRAMMY® nominated group, has released their latest single “Frágil” with Grupo Frontera, continuing their trendsetting style in Regional Mexican music. The song and music video are now available on all digital platforms. Yahritza y Su Esencia premiered the song at Tecate Pal’ Norte in Monterrey, Mexico, joining Grupo Frontera for a special performance to an audience of over 100,000 fans.

Produced by 20-time Latin GRAMMY® Award-winning and GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Edgar Barrera [Maluma, Madonna, J Balvin, Ariana Grande], “Frágil” showcases both vocalists singing about heartbreak and weakness in love. Grupo Frontera’s viral cover of “No Se Va” propelled the group to their first #1 hit on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart, while their track “Que Vuelvas” reached #1 on radio, #1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart, and #6 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart. Grupo Frontera also holds two positions on the Billboard Hot 100 with over 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Yahritza y Su Esencia released “No Se Puede Decir Adiós” and “Nuestra Canción” last week. Produced by Edgar Barrera, “No Se Puede Decir Adiós” features the group’s signature style while the trio produced “Nuestra Canción” themselves, showcasing their dynamic sound. Driven by skilled guitar playing, acoustic bass, and emotionally charged vocals, Yahritza y Su Esencia is a crossover Regional Mexican phenomenon.

In addition to their musical successes, Yahritza y Su Esencia was selected as part of Fender’s “Fender Next Class 2023,” joining the likes of fellow classmates Samm Henshaw, Momma, and Dayglo, and esteemed alumni such as Phoebe Bridgers and Wet Leg. The group was also nominated for three awards at the 2023 Latin American Music Awards, including “New Artist Of The Year,” “Best Duo Or Group - Regional Mexican,” and “Best Album - Regional Mexican.”

Yahritza y Su Esencia won their first Premio Lo Nuestro Award for “Soy El Único” under the Regional Mexican - Sierreña Song Of The Year category. The global hit, showcasing Yahritza’s lyrical dexterity at just 13 years old, has captured the attention of fans worldwide. Yahritza y Su Esencia released “Cambiaste” earlier this year, amassing over 5.6 million Spotify streams and 3.2 million YouTube views on the music video. Billboard and Remezcla praised the song, saying “‘Cambiaste’ is a fresh switch-up in sound for Yahritza y Su Esencia that highlights Martínez’s timeless voice.”

Fans can look forward to more from Yahritza y Su Esencia soon.
