Following his globally acclaimed 2023 single ‘Jealous,’ Brazilian DJ and producer Mochakk is back with a dynamic and diverse six-track dual EP, ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099,’ released under CircoLoco Records. Known for his energetic live performances, Mochakk broadens his production horizons with this release, further solidifying his place as one of the most exciting names in electronic music.

A Fusion of Talent: 'Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 I'

The first part of the collection, ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 I,’ released on July 26th, kicks off with the title track, a surprising collaboration with VTSS. Typically known for her hard techno sound, VTSS teams up with Mochakk to deliver a refreshing departure featuring twinkling synths and a tempo just above 125 bpm.

The EP continues with ‘The Line,’ a solo track by Mochakk that maintains a downtempo house pace with blistering snares and an irresistible synth line. This track also marks one of Mochakk's first ventures into providing his own vocals, potentially signaling a new creative chapter. The EP concludes with ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 (Dub Mix),’ a stripped-back yet impactful version of the original.

Completing the Journey: 'Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 II'

Set for release on September 6th, ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 II’ completes the dual EP. It opens with ‘No Boys Allowed,’ featuring Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis. Known for her collaborations with JPEGMAFIA and Charli XCX, Genesis’ subtle vocal style intertwines hypnotically with Mochakk’s production, complementing the chugging kick drums, meandering synth melody, and low-slung bassline.

Following this is ‘Estribeira,’ featuring fellow Brazilian artist and good friend Artisian. With a direct dancefloor construction, this track features vocal and siren samples intermixed with heavy kick drums and a punchy bassline. This no-nonsense DJ tool has been a staple in Mochakk’s sets and is now being unveiled to the public.

The EP closes with ‘No Boys Allowed (Street Mix),’ which swaps the 4/4 house feel for razor-sharp electro percussion and layered atmospherics, showcasing Mochakk’s passion for bass.
