Marion, the celebrated dining and nightlife destination in Miami, has reopened following an extensive summer renovation. Known for its signature Thursday night events, Marion has been a staple of Miami’s social scene since 2015. With a $4 million makeover, the restaurant is poised to offer a unique experience that blends nostalgia with modern luxury, alongside an updated menu and a new design. These changes aim to solidify Marion’s status as a premier destination for fine dining and entertainment in the heart of the city.
A Fresh Start with a Nod to Tradition
The recent transformation was driven by the desire to preserve Marion's legacy while introducing a refined atmosphere. Mathieu Massa, Founder & CEO of Mr. Hospitality Miami, described the renovation as a “rebirth,” aimed at elevating Marion from a popular spot in Brickell to a sophisticated icon. The revamped venue maintains its classic Thursday night tradition, where fine dining seamlessly transitions into a lively nightlife experience, enhanced by live performances from artists, singers, and dancers.
A Culinary Journey: Asian-Mediterranean Fusion
One of the most significant updates is the revamped menu crafted by Executive Chef Kylian Goussot. The new dishes bring a fusion of Asian and Mediterranean flavors, featuring expertly prepared sushi, fresh seafood, and high-quality meats. Highlights include the Truffle Prime Beef Tartare, Kobe Roll, and Lobster Tempura, among other signature dishes that showcase Goussot's Michelin-starred expertise.
Complementing this is an innovative sushi program led by Executive Sushi Chef Max Kamakura, who uses dry-aging techniques to bring unique flavor profiles to life. Guests can enjoy dishes like the Wagyu Marrow and the Marion Salmon Roll, which combine premium ingredients with artistic presentations.
Cocktail and Wine Program: A Taste of Luxury
Marion’s drink offerings have also received an upgrade, with a cocktail menu curated by Corporate Beverage Manager Karol Ansaldi. Inspired by Asian-Mediterranean influences, signature cocktails such as Dirty Dancing, Wild Things, and Basic Instinct bring refreshing twists to classic favorites. For wine enthusiasts, the revamped wine program overseen by Higor Valle features an impressive Champagne collection, with options ranging from prestigious Grand Maisons like Dom Pérignon to rare Grower selections.
New Additions: Champagne Display and Tequila Room
One of the standout features in the renovated space is the Dom Pérignon Champagne Display and Tequila Room. Replacing the former wine room, this area boasts over 300 premium bottles, making it a go-to destination for guests looking to celebrate special occasions or indulge in luxury. The collection includes some of the finest Champagnes and Tequilas, providing a diverse selection for those seeking the perfect toast.
Design Reinvented: A Tribute to the Past with a Modern Twist
The redesign, led by Carlos Rodriguez of Escala Forma, draws inspiration from legendary venues like Studio 54, incorporating bold colors and playful elements. The new interior blends classic charm with contemporary style, featuring Murano chandeliers and an LED-paneled ceiling that transforms into a disco as the night progresses. The venue’s exterior has also been revamped to include open-air dining, lush greenery, and an inviting ambiance that reflects Miami’s vibrant spirit.
An Invitation to Experience Marion’s New Chapter
The revamped Marion invites guests to explore its updated offerings and design, which continue to celebrate Miami’s cultural essence. With its new look, elevated menu, and luxurious setting, Marion sets a high standard for dining and nightlife in the city.
