With his one of a kind voice and catchy pop rhythms, Sebastian Yatra has become one of the most beloved Latin pop artists of the moment. Born in Medellin, Colombia, Yatra has achieved worldwide fame with his music and has become an inspiration to millions of fans across the globe. Yatra began his music career in 2013, and since then, he has released several hit singles and albums that have topped the charts in Latin America and beyond. He has also appeared in several television shows and movies in Colombia, displaying his acting skills and becoming a well-rounded artist. He has been a judge on the Colombian version of The Voice, showcasing his knowledge and passion for music.

Sebastian Yatra Takes the Stage at the Oscars

In addition to his many accomplishments in the music industry, Sebastian Yatra was invited to perform at the 2020 Oscars. This was a huge moment for Yatra, as he became the first Colombian artist to perform at the prestigious awards show. Yatra took the stage alongside other artists, including Janelle Monae and Billie Ellish, and performed a special tribute to the movies of the past year. The performance was a hit, with Yatra showcasing his vocal range and charisma in front of a worldwide audience. For Yatra, performing at the Oscars was a dream come true. In an interview with Billboard, he said,

“I'm very excited and very grateful for this opportunity. It's something that I never even thought could happen, and it's an honor to be representing Colombia at such an important event." - Sebastian Yatra

Yatra's performance at the Oscars was just one of the many milestones he has achieved in his career, and it's clear that he will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the Latin music industry. Yatra’s New releases 

This week Yatra released a New Single "Una Noche Sin Pensar". The new single is a high-energy, upbeat pop offering and marks Yatra's first release of the new year. The music video, directed by Joaquin Cambre, features Spanish actress Milena Smit and showcases the fantasy vision of a whirlwind night. The chemistry between Yatra and Smit is palpable, making for an enjoyable visual and auditory experience. 

The cover art for the single is a stunning visual created by Spanish painter Marta de la Fuente. The painting is a representation of a powerful moment in the music video where Yatra and Smit embrace in the sea covered by a beautiful neon pink light. Yatra's success in the music industry continues to soar, and the artist has confirmed his position as one of the leading nominees at the 2023 Premio Lo Nuestro. He has earned a total of ten nominations, including nods for "Artist Of The Year," "Song Of The Year," and "Album Of The Year." Yatra's nomination in the "Pop - Collaboration Of The Year" category reflects the impressive collaboration with Rita Wilson on "Til You're Home," which also gained recognition on the Oscar short-list. 

The artist's duet with Wilson at the MusiCares 'Person of the Year' Gala further celebrated the success of the collaboration. With two Grammy nominations and two Latin Grammy wins, Yatra's musical accomplishments speak for themselves. The artist has proven himself as a versatile artist, with accomplishments ranging from acting to painting. NPR 'Weekend Edition' hailed Yatra as and Billboard has reported his "winning streak" in the music industry.

Yatra's previous Dharma world tour brought his award-winning Dharma album to life, which earned him his first two Latin Grammy wins. The tour also saw him perform with John Legend and receive his first American Music Award. The artist's success looks set to continue, and we can't wait to see what he does next.

Talk to us about your new single “Una noche sin pensar” 

“Una noche sin pensar” is the beginning of a new chapter in my music career and in my life. Each one of my albums represents a chapter in my life. This is an album I'll be writing with from a new perspective I've obtained. I see life in a very positive way and want to add value to others.”

What has been your most memorable performance so far and why? 

“My two most memorable performances are definitely the Oscars and singing at Viña Del Mar in Chile. The Oscars is the most incredible stage in the world. Being there as a latin represents a lot for latin culture.” 

You have a large and passionate fanbase. How do you stay connected with your fans?

I stay connected through my fans day to do in person and through social media. But Mainly through my music. Music is the way they get to know my heart and I theirs. I want my songs to accompany them at their best and worst”
