1. Collaborative Chemistry: "What sparked the initial collaboration between you and Jason, and how did you find common ground musically?"

Jason and I have been in touch for the last few years. I’ve remixed three of his records now, and they’ve been well received, with over 30 million streams on Spotify alone. We’ve been searching for the right record to collaborate on for quite some time and finally found the right fit with “Animal.” 

2. Behind ‘Animal’': "Can you share the creative process behind 'Animal'? What was the inspiration for this track?"

 After a few years of sending ideas back and forth, Jason sent me a demo of “Animal” and everything quickly fell into place. Jason is a natural at tying together uplifting melodies and playful feelings, which makes each of his records dynamic and keeps listeners engaged. I had a great time building the production to match the vibe, and we think it’s got just the right balance of energy for summer. 

3. The Jason Derulo Connection: "Having worked with many artists, what made Jason Derulo stand out to you as collaborators for this project?"

Collaborating with Jason felt natural and the creative process really flowed easily. We understood clearly how we wanted to build the song. Picking the right ingredients was a very smooth process in this case. Thankfully our visions aligned, which isn’t always the case (laughs). Jason’s an outstanding pro.

4. Creative Synergy: "What do you look for in a collaborator, and how did your work with Jason Derulo complement your musical style?"

 Jason’s charisma and pop touch were a perfect fit for my uplifting EDM style. ‘Animal’ stands out amongst my records because of his positive energy, taking my dance vision to new directions.

5. Expectations vs. Reality: "Did 'Animal' turn out as you initially envisioned, or did it evolve into something different as you worked on it?"

We had a very clear vision for ‘Animal’ and the final version is true to what we’d envisioned. This isn’t the case with every record, but this one came together very organically. 

6. The Making of an Anthem: "What elements do you think are essential for a track to become an electronic dance music anthem?"

A solid melody! It’s hard to remember a melody if it’s too complicated, whether it’s a synth or vocal, the key to keeping it catchy is simplicity.

7. Global Influence: "Your music has a global following. How do you ensure it resonates with such a diverse audience?"

I draw inspiration from many different genres and cultures, and blend these influences together on many of my records. This way, listeners get music that is familiar, but has something unexpected and intriguing. 

8. Live Performances: "Your summer tour calendar looks busy! How does a busy tour life affect your creative processes?"

 Indeed! My summer tour is busy this year but I’m able to maintain my creative mindset by maintaining my healthy routines. Each tour inspires me in a different way, each country has its unique vibe and every show brings new creative energy. The love and engagement from fans at each show is what keeps me going.
