Panamanian musician, actor, and activist, Rubén Blades, has announced the addition of four new dates and cities to his successful SALSWING TOUR! with the Roberto Delgado Big Band from Panama. The new performances will be held on Sunday, August 13 at Hard Rock Live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Wednesday, August 16 at the United Palace in New York City; on Friday, August 18 at the Smart Financial Centre in Houston, Texas, and on Sunday, August 20 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Tickets will be available for purchase on April 7 at 10 AM local time, at rubenblades.com and at theater box offices.

Blades, a legend of Latin American music with over 50 years of experience, will offer a unique proposal to American audiences that will include his well-known hits and songs from his award-winning production, SALSWING! The tour started in 2021 in the United States and continued in 2022 in Colombia, Puerto Rico, Catalonia, and Panama, receiving overwhelming success and critical acclaim, with sold-out crowds in every city.

After completing the AMC production, "Fear the Walking Dead," in which he starred in one of the main roles during eight uninterrupted seasons, Blades resumes touring in 2023 with his Salswing Tour! taking his repertoire to Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Barcelona, ​​Pyrenees, Madrid, Jerez de la Frontera, Marbella, Cartagena, La Coruña, Tenerife, Medellín, Bogotá, Cali, Barranquilla, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Houston, Orlando, Mexico City, Santo Domingo, Quito, Guayaquil, and Lima.

Blades was named "Person of the Year 2021" and won "Best Album of the Year" and "Best Salsa Album" at the 2021 Latin GRAMMY Awards. His production was also recognized in 2022 as the Best Salsa album in the US version of the GRAMMY Awards.

In 2020, Blades was awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts by the Ministry of Culture of Spain, and in 2021 with the Medal of the Arts by Harvard University (the first Latino to receive it). He has transcended music as a film and television actor, writer, political activist, and public servant as the Minister of Tourism of Panama (2004 to 2009). His writings and essays, "Apuntes desde la Esquina" and "Diario de la Peste," published on his website, have been widely commented on and reproduced by different international media and journalistic agencies.

Accompanied by the Roberto Delgado Big Band, composed of 20 incredible Panamanian musicians who have been accompanying Rubén Blades since 2010 at the most prestigious festivals and venues around the world, "The Salsa Poet," with 22 GRAMMY Awards (11 Latin GRAMMYs and 11 GRAMMYs) and over 50 released albums, will present an unforgettable show.
