Alvaro Diaz and Rauw Alejandro nominated for Collaboration of the Year at 2023 Premio Lo Nuestro for hit single "Problemón"

For his worldwide hit "Problemón" featuring Rauw Alejandro, fashion-forward Puerto Rican rapper Álvaro Díaz opens off 2023 with Collaboration Of The Year - Urban. The song, which debuted on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart at the end of 2021 and has received 2 billion global streams, has been certified platinum by the RIAA Latin. It also became viral on Tik Tik with +134M fan-made videos.

On Thursday, February 23, at 8 p.m. EST and 7 p.m. CST, Univisión will broadcast the 35th anniversary of its first music award of the year live from Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida. Beginning on Monday, January 23 and running through Sunday, February 5, the public will vote to choose the winners.

Along with obtaining this nomination, Díaz revealed last week that he will perform with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lupe Fiasco, Wu-Tang Clan, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and many others at the renowned Bottlerock event in Napa Valley, California from May 26 to 28. He will also be making his debut in Lollapallooza Chile and Argentina this March 17–19. Díaz made his debut in Chile earlier this month when he attended Young Cister's sold-out performances at the Movistar Arena in Santiago as a special invited guest.

Díaz's status as one of the most interesting and promising international performers within the new generation of Latin urban musicians creating music on their own terms was cemented in 2022. In 2023, he created Pandora's Artists to Watch: D'az was the only Latin musician on the list of The Pandora Ten, which predicted that he would be one of the artists to succeed in 2023! Díaz is well on his way to having a successful 2023, having done everything from walking the catwalk at Tommy Hilfiger's New York Fashion Week presentation to selling out his inaugural arena show in Mexico and the whole of his US Tour to producing critically acclaimed singles. His much awaited album Sayonara, which is being managed by NEON16 and Top Floor Talent, is scheduled to be published soon under Universal Music Latino.
